Run a node
Download a binary, or build from source.
Official binaries are published on GitHub Releases. Building from tagged source remains the path if you want to verify the software yourself.
Option one
Download binaries
Pre-built packages for common platforms are attached to release v1.0.0rc3 (release candidate). Prefer verifying checksums from the release page before you run anything.
Binaries remain bitcoind, bitcoin-qt, bitcoin-cli. The default data directory remains ~/.bitcoin. A full node stores the history of Bitcoin transactions and requires several hundred gigabytes or more of disk space. Initial synchronization can take hours to days.

Option two
Build from source
Clone tagged source v1.0.0rc3 and build it. Platform-specific dependency notes live in the repository and are linked below.
Clone
Git clone
git clone https://github.com/saltduck/bitcoinpurity.git
cd bitcoinpurity
git checkout v1.0.0rc3Build
The repository uses CMake. This page does not invent package names beyond what those documents describe.
Unix CMake
cmake -B build
cmake --build buildFull notes: doc/build-unix.md. Debian/Ubuntu and Fedora dependency lists live in that file. Open in the repository (opens in a new tab)
After building
Built binaries are typically under build/bin/. Run bitcoind or bitcoin-qt. Use bitcoin-cli to talk to a running node.
Optional install
cmake --install buildActivation and upgrades
Mainnet Purity activation is hardcoded at block 961637. No activation parameter or datadir lock file is required.
Consensus-pinned activation block hash
0000000000000000003ea74f4dafdda7ed4e02c4c1ccb9768e0ca4f9e1a35159Any other block at height 961637 is invalid under consensus, independently of -checkpoints=0. If an existing block index contains a conflicting block from software used before this pin was enforced, restart with -reindex to rebuild it.
