Versioning

Bitcoin Purity maintains an independent MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH release series. Git tags use a leading v (for example v1.0.0rc3). Release candidates append rcN before the final release.

The upstream Bitcoin Knots version (29.4.0) and Bitcoin Core consensus baseline (29.4) are recorded separately and do not determine the Bitcoin Purity release number. On the P2P network, nodes identify as /Satoshi:29.4/Purity:1.0.0/.

Older date-based tags such as v29.4.purity20260830rc2 are legacy identifiers. v1.0.0rc3 supersedes them under the new convention.

Deep-reorg parking RPCs

Parking is local policy, not consensus. Operators review parked blocks with parkblock and unparkblock. invalidateblock and reconsiderblock remain available. Bitcoin Cash Avalanche, automatic unparking, and -maxreorgdepth auto-finalization are not ported.
